These standards apply to the Nookly mobile app (Android package com.nookly.cloneth, and iOS) and to nookly.pro.
Nookly is developed and operated by CLONETH.
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Nookly, operated by CLONETH, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). The following are strictly prohibited on Nookly, anywhere in the app and on our website:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material.
- Any sexual exploitation of a minor (anyone under 18).
- Grooming: building contact or trust with a minor for a sexual purpose, and any sexual solicitation of a minor.
- Attempting to obtain, request, share, sell, distribute, advertise or promote CSAM, or pointing others to where it can be found.
- Facilitating, encouraging or celebrating the abuse or exploitation of children, including sexualised comments about minors.
- Using any Nookly feature, including the map, places, photos, reviews, profiles or partner location sharing, to find, contact, track, meet or exploit a child.
These rules apply to everyone, with no exceptions for jokes, "fiction" or content that claims to be fake.
2. Who Nookly is for
Nookly is intended only for adults aged 18 and over, as stated in our Privacy Policy. Minors may not create an account or use Nookly. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.
3. Content and behaviour these standards cover
Nookly has no public feed and no chat or direct messaging. The features where people can add content or reach someone else are:
- profiles: display name, profile photo and short bio;
- places people add to the map, with their names and descriptions;
- photos of places and reviews of places;
- private places, photos and notes shared only between two paired partners;
- partner invitations (link, QR code or short code) and partner live location, which is shared only after both people confirm the pairing and only if the sharer turns it on.
You must not create, upload, share, request or promote anything involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of children in any of these features, including in private content visible only to you and your partner.
4. How to report a child safety concern
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (112 in Türkiye and across the EU).
In the Nookly app:
- Use Report on the profile, photo, review or place concerned, choose the closest reason ("Inappropriate" or "Something else") and write in the details that it is a child safety concern.
- Use Block to stop the person from seeing or contacting you on Nookly. A blocked person is not told.
By e-mail: write to support@nookly.pro with the subject "Child safety report". Tell us where on Nookly you saw the problem (for example the person's display name, the place or the review) and what happened. Do not send, forward or attach images or videos that may show the abuse of a child. Describe them instead; sharing such material is illegal, even when the intention is to report it.
You can also report child sexual abuse material directly to authorities and hotlines, for example İhbar Web (Türkiye), the NCMEC CyberTipline (United States) or your local police.
5. What we do with reports
Every child safety report sent to us is reviewed by the Nookly team. Depending on what we find, we:
- remove the content concerned;
- permanently delete the account responsible;
- keep the information that the law requires us to preserve for the authorities;
- report the matter to the competent authorities, as described below.
Independently of our review, reports from different people can already hide a photo, review or place automatically.
6. Child sexual abuse material and legal compliance
CLONETH complies with the child protection laws that apply to Nookly. When we become aware of suspected CSAM or the exploitation of a child, we remove the material, delete the accounts involved and report it to the competent law enforcement or judicial authorities and, where the law requires it, to the relevant child protection organisations. We cooperate with lawful requests from those authorities.
7. Privacy of reports
We do not tell the reported person who reported them. Report details and related personal data are handled under our Privacy Policy and shared only with the authorities when the law requires it. We never publish information about reports, the people involved, or any child.
